Double-cross strategy

A double cross is a deliberate two-box handout used to keep control of a longer chain or loop that follows.

Rules and strategy methods

Instead of closing the final two boxes of the current chain, draw the control edge that gives those two away and forces the opponent to open the next component.

Whether the sacrifice works depends on component order and parity. Architect never claims exact arbitrary-position play outside the 12-edge endgame boundary.
